Transferring your embryos to XTS:

Clinics store embryos at off-site facilities for many reasons, including liability issues, space limitations and time requirements. Because tissue storage is the primary focus of XTS, we are fully prepared to deal head-on with these and other issues that may arise.

Upon completing the storage agreement, transfer forms and related documents, we send our cryokit^TM embryo tank to your physician.

XTS requires blood-testing results for both you and your spouse or for the sperm and egg donors before we can accept your embryos for storage. We will provide you with a "release to transfer medical records" form along with your shipping materials. XTS currently tests for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HTLV l and ll, and RPR. Federal regulations may require additional testing at a later date. If a gamete provided for the formation of this embryo is a directed donor (known donor) be aware of expanded testing requirements. Our transfer tanks are specially designed to hold liquid nitrogen and maintain your embryos at a constant temperature of -196 Celsius. Your storage fees, which must be paid before transport of your embryos, include annual storage fees and a fee for transportation from your physician's office to XTS.

Maintaining Your Embryos at XTS

We take great care to protect your embryos at XTS. They are stored in constant-temperature liquid nitrogen containers, which are monitored daily by our staff and continuously through nitrogen level alarm sensors. Even in the event of power failure, tanks continue to maintain constant, subzero temperatures. In addition, our facility is monitored by ADT, internationally recognized security specialists.

Shipping Your Embryos to a Physician or Clinic

Call XTS at 1-800-277-3210 when you are ready to remove your embryos from storage. After verifying and documenting your request, XTS will ship your embryos to the licensed physician or clinic of your choice. Our normal business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Payment

Payment is required in advance of services being rendered. XTS accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover credit cards, as well as certified checks and money orders. XTS also offers the Care Credit financing plan. We offer discounts when you pay in advance for multiple years of storage.
